Karla Hill SPHR, SHRM-SCP, MBTI, is a Certified Human Resources Leader with an accomplished career spanning over three decades in progressively responsible positions in government. In her most recent role, she served as the Deputy Director for Human Resources and Administration for a local government agency. Today, after dedicating 35 years to Human Resources, Karla has made the decision to retire and channel her wealth of skills, experience and talent into her own practice, GPS Career and Strategies.
In government, she demonstrated deep expertise in labor relations, recruitment, and succession planning. Her dedication empowered countless individuals in their career development journey. This commitment stemmed from her passion for education and economic inclusion, developed through her upbringing and exposure to diverse communities.
However, retirement from her traditional role does not signify an end to her passion for empowering others. With GPS Career and Strategies, she seeks to continue this mission on an even greater scale.
Karla holds a BBA in Public Administration from Baruch College, an MS from Chestnut Hill College, and also brought her experience into the classroom as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern University. Her certifications include Myers Briggs, the Society for Human Resources Management and the HR Certification Institute.
Currently residing in the Northwest section of Philadelphia, Karla is excited to embark on this new stage of her professional journey. As she dedicates her time and effort to her practice, her goal remains to inspire, educate, and guide others in their career development.
